July 19, 2021, UnitedHealthcare is waiving cost share (copay, coinsurance and deductible) for in-network and out-of-network testing-related services. State variations and requirements may apply during this time. Please refer to your state's COVID-19-specific. To help with this, UnitedHealthcare is waiving member cost-sharing for the treatment of COVID-19 based on confirmed positive diagnosis through the national public health emergecy period for Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, Individual and Group Market fully insured health plans. Aetna will waive out of pocket costs for in-network primarycare services from May 13th – September 30th , 2020 forboth in office and telehealth visits. Aetna encourages its members to continueseeking essential preventive and primary care during the pandemic.
United Healthcare will provide members with a $0 copay forprimary care and specialist visits as well as other covered services (seebelow) from May 11th – September 30th, 2020. UnitedHealthcare hopes that lowering the PCP and specialists copays that it will beeasier for you to access care.
Here is a list of other covered services with a $0 copay:
- Medicare covered chiropractic and acupunctureservices
- Podiatry services and routine eye and hearingexams
- Physical therapy, occupational therapy andspeech therapy
- Cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation services
- Outpatient mental health and substance abusevisits
- Opioid treatment services
Please be aware that if you have been to the doctor and youpaid a copay during this time, it will be the doctor's office responsibility torefund you your copay.
